ATRIY engineers provided full supervisory support during the installation of fault passage indicators and delivered comprehensive training on equipment setup and operation to representatives of Eswatini Electricity Company and the contractor, LIVE LINE TECHNOLOGY.
The installed fault passage indicators are designed to pinpoint fault locations and types of the faults along the line with no need for manual setting calculations. This allows utility teams to rapidly identify and address issues—reducing outage time and cutting restoration costs significantly.
To streamline the process, FPIs were delivered with portable mounting tools that enable fast, straightforward installation. What's more, the indicators can be fitted directly onto live overhead lines, meaning the entire installation can be carried out without interrupting power supply to consumers.
