OLTC Position Monitor UP25
An optional analog output with current loop (0–5 mA, 4–20 mA, or 0–20 mA) is available for transmitting drive stage information to the automated process control system (APCS) or telemetry (TM) system.
All inputs and outputs are contained in a single device. This allows solving all control panel indication tasks, as well as transmission to APCS and other transformer stage automation systems.
The UP 25 can be easily reconfigured to accommodate different sensor types. Even when changing the drive, there is no need to replace the monitor. Its versatility and multiple output options allow the device to be integrated into any process control system.
The device features automatic dead‑step detection and an optional switching counter.
Configuration is performed using the front panel keyboard or a PC with dedicated software.
COMPATIBILITY WITH DRIVES:
- MZ-2, MZ-4, instead of the lkm step indicator;
- MR, EM-1, ED-S, ED100-S;
- BUF3, BUE3;
- PDP-5 L, PDP-4, PDP-4 U;
- MA-1, MAK-1;
- PM-2M;
- any other drives with the number of stages not exceeding 99.
Additional features:
- Keyboard for setup and calibration.
- Adjustable indicator brightness.
- Automatic control of maximum permissible OLTC drive positions – allows setting of limit steps.
- Indication of first, last, and limit steps of OLTC drive position via LEDs on the front panel.
- Compensation of resistive sensor connecting wire resistance, or setting of initial angle of a synchro sensor with the transformer energized and fixed at one step.
- Basic digital interfaces: RS‑485/-RS‑232 (E‑case version: RS‑485 only).
- Transmission of drive step information to APCS or TM system.
- Connection to a PC for configuration using dedicated software.
