Lodestar CL0.5 BM-S model is an advanced solution for fault detection. The registering of faults is based on special intelligent algorithm, that makes possible to detect PtG fault and its direction from 0.5A.

The Lodestar CL0.5 BM‑S fault passage indicators are mounted directly on overhead line conductors and are designed to detect all types of faults in 6–36 kV distribution networks. The Lodestar CLx BM‑S enables fault notification systems with precise GPS coordinates for accurate fault location.

No need in additional pole-mounted RTU device anymore. Indicators communicate with one CL0.5 BM-S device via Bluetooth radio signal, then CL0.5 BM-S Master communicates by GSM with KOMORSAN and transmit data to any SCADA-System via IEC 60870-5-104.

Benefits:

  • Built‑in GSM module – direct data transmission, no additional equipment required.
  • No external concentrator – reduces system cost and complexity.
  • Hot‑stick installation – easy mounting without de‑energizing the line.
  • Flexible SCADA integration – IEC 60870‑5‑104 via KOMORSAN software or direct DNP3 connection.
  • Directional fault detection – identifies fault current direction.
  • Any neutral grounding type – effective operation in any network.
  • Versatile network compatibility – suitable for radial and looped networks with single or multiple feeds.
