The Smartbox is a reliable pole‑mountable communication unit that works with Lodestar fault indicators to provide detailed fault event information and real‑time status of distribution and transmission overhead lines.
Using standard industrial communication protocols, the Smartbox ensures seamless integration with existing network infrastructure. Data exchange is supported via the IEC 60870‑5‑104 protocol. For information security, the Smartbox supports IPsec, OpenVPN, and other network security protocols.
