The Lodestar PT1 comprises a recording unit and external measuring sensors. The recording unit is mounted in a switchgear cell or on a control panel. The included sensors are circular or square split‑core current transformers designed for installation on insulated cables.
Benefits:
- Any neutral grounding type – reliable operation in networks with solidly earthed or compensated neutral.
- Maintenance‑free operation – no servicing required; powered and triggeredfor directly by current sensors.
Two types of current sensors are available for the Lodestar PT1:
- Round current sensors (split-core) – can be installed on cables or bushings.
- Square current sensors (solid-core) – designed for mounting on bushings during switchgear manufacturing.
