Solution for Remote Monitoring
The Lightbox communication unit is designed to collect data from Lodestar fault indicators installed on overhead lines and transmit it to a data collection server within the KOMORSAN system or directly to a SCADA system. Mounted on overhead line poles, the Lightbox serves as a local data concentrator, enabling remote monitoring and fault notification without the need for additional infrastructure.
Benefits:
- Local data collection – gathers fault information from Lodestar fault indicators installed on overhead lines.
- Easy mounting – simple to position and connect without de‑energizing the line.
- GSM connectivity – equipped with a built‑in GSM module for wireless data transmission.
- Simple configuration – straightforward setup with minimal user intervention.
- Visual fault indication – features yellow LED beacons or flags for clear local fault indication, allowing line crews to quickly locate damaged sections.
- Multiple device support – can communicate with up to six sets of Lodestar CLx B devices of various models.
- Flexible SCADA integration – supports IEC 60870‑5‑104 and DNP3 protocols for seamless connection to existing automation systems.
